Bob S: If the gun serial does not end in 95 or 96 it is not a recall gun. I'd recommend two White Hots pellets and a PowerBelt 295 AeroTip or a PowerBelt AeroLite 250. Good shooting, Dudley

Jake: You'll love the APEX! It is an incredibly accurate gun because of the Bergara Barrel, which comes standard on all CVA Apex and Accura models. In fact, these guns, because of the Bergara barrel, are guaranteed to be the most accurate muzzleloader you have ever shot. If not, CVA will refund you money. Best regards, Dudley

Brian S: Glad you found the article. Your Kentucky Hunter was likely built in the late 80s or early 90s. It was indeed an offshoot of our Hawken model. Darn nice traditional gun. Best regards, Dudley

Bill, I have seen the 12g Double CVA Shotguns sell for as little as $350 to as high as $550. With yours being new and i suspect new condition, $500-$600 is right around the area I would start asking.

hi mr. mcgarity, just looking on the site and read a few coments, i started with a cva kentucky kit, back when oklahoma started their blk pwdr season, had to learn everything by trial and mistake, very funny now that i look back and find how many mistaked i did make, i had the tang barrel to blow out of this thing a couple of years after i used it, i wound up brazing it on my barrel, it worked just fine, it would shoot acuratly for over 100 yds, no prob. 45 cal with 100 grs pyro, maxi ball, have owned a t.c.encore, not for me, owned a rem 50, very good rifle, am now going to purchase an apex, seems to me this is the gun for a hunting person. keep on keepin' on, jake. thanks
